Teslas in Las Vegas set on fire in "targeted attack," police say

Police in Las Vegas have reported that at least five Tesla cars were damaged in what they describe as a "targeted attack" early Tuesday morning. Two of these vehicles were completely engulfed in flames, while others were shot at. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. at a Tesla Collision Center, where officers discovered the damaged vehicles and the word "RESIST" spray-painted in red on the building's doors.

The suspect is believed to have used Molotov cocktails to start the fires and fired at least three shots into the vehicles. The individual, who was dressed in black, is still at large. Both the Las Vegas police and the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force are investigating the case.

This attack is part of a series of violent incidents at Tesla locations across the country, linked to protests against CEO Elon Musk's involvement in President Trump's Department of Government Efficiency. Other incidents have included graffiti, Molotov cocktails, and vandalism at Tesla facilities.

In a separate event, the San Diego County Sheriff's Office reported that several Tesla cars were defaced with swastikas. No arrests have been made in connection with that incident.

Elon Musk condemned the Las Vegas attack on his social media platform, labeling it as "terrorism" and expressing disbelief at the violence. Attorney General Pam Bondi also described the attacks as "domestic terrorism" and emphasized that the Department of Justice is pursuing severe penalties for those responsible. President Trump has indicated he would classify such violence against Tesla as "domestic terrorism."
