Toddler crawls through White House fence, prompts Secret Service response

A small child managed to make their way onto the White House grounds on Tuesday, leading to a quick reaction from the US Secret Service. According to Anthony Guglielmi, the Secret Service's chief of communications, the toddler crawled through the fence on the north side of the White House, triggering security alarms.

Guglielmi stated, "Today, the Secret Service Uniformed Division encountered an inquisitive young visitor who briefly entered the White House grounds through the north fence line. Security systems immediately alerted Secret Service officers, and the child was swiftly reunited with their parents."

This isn't the first time such an incident has occurred. In 2014, another toddler managed to slip through the White House fence just before President Barack Obama was scheduled to deliver a speech on Iraq. This earlier breach caused a temporary lockdown and delayed the briefing. At the time, Edwin Donovan, a spokesperson for the Secret Service, humorously remarked, "We were going to wait until he learned to talk to question him, but instead, he received a timeout and was sent on his way with his parents."
