Washington man accused of having enough fentanyl to kill 278,000 people after getting clemency from Dem gov

A man from Washington, who was previously granted clemency by former Governor Jay Inslee in 2019, has been arrested on multiple drug and weapon charges. Percy Levy, 54, was taken into custody following a 16-month investigation by the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force. His arrest occurred during a traffic stop in Everett, and a subsequent search of his home uncovered significant quantities of drugs and a firearm.

Authorities discovered 2,818 grams of powder cocaine, 14.7 grams of rock cocaine, and 556 grams of fentanyl at Levy's residence. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency states that this amount of fentanyl could potentially be lethal to 278,000 people, as just 2 milligrams can be fatal. Additionally, packaging materials, a digital scale, and a handgun were found in the home.

Levy faces charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, and multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He is currently held on a $1.5 million bond, facing 11 Class B felony charges.

Levy's criminal history dates back to his teenage years, and he previously served 17 years in prison following a 2002 arrest related to a drug house robbery. Despite his past, after receiving clemency, Levy became involved in criminal justice reform. He worked as a community outreach specialist and founded a car dealership in Everett. He also served as treasurer for the Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County chapter.

The investigation into Levy's recent activities is ongoing.
