During the Covid-19 lockdown, Jake Gyllenhaal and Jamie Lee Curtis found themselves neighbors and companions. Gyllenhaal, who is Curtis's godson, and his partner Jeanne Cadieu stayed in the house next to Curtis's property. Curtis, who took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2023, has a longstanding friendship with Gyllenhaal's parents, Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Foner.
At the premiere of Gyllenhaal's latest thriller, "The Covenant," Curtis shared insights into their time together. She mentioned that Gyllenhaal and Cadieu lived next door for almost a year, allowing them to bond further. During this period, Gyllenhaal embraced the bread-baking trend, often entertaining with singing, acting, and even performing handstands.
Curtis noted, "He baked a lot of sourdough bread. He would also sing, act, and do handstands, including the challenge where you take your shirt off and put it back on while upside down."
Gyllenhaal confirmed that his passion for sourdough has continued beyond the pandemic. "I still enjoy making sourdough," he remarked. "Even now, I haven't stopped."
His new movie, a military thriller directed by Guy Ritchie, features a cast including Alexander Ludwig, Antony Starr, Bobby Schofield, and Jonny Lee Miller.
