The Rock says he will show up on 'SmackDown' with road to WrestleMania 41 underway

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Set to Return to 'SmackDown' Amidst WrestleMania 41 Excitement

WWE icon Booker T provides insight into Jey Uso's Royal Rumble victory in an exclusive interview. Meanwhile, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson announced his big comeback to "Smackdown" this Friday, a month following his reappearance on WWE's schedule.

At the beginning of the year, The Rock was believed to be a significant player on the journey to WrestleMania. Many followers of WWE were looking forward to his potential title match against the reigning WWE champion, Cody Rhodes. This speculation was fueled by The Rock's comments during the Bad Blood live event, hinting his interest in Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

The Rock, also known as the UFL owner, had been off the grid for a while until his unexpected appearance on the inaugural episode of "RAW" on Netflix. He lauded Rhodes for his contribution to the company since his title win at WrestleMania 40. This made his announcement of returning to "Smackdown" on Thursday quite surprising.

He described his comeback as "bold and disruptive," and "unpredictable and dangerous."

WWE's Chief Content Officer, Paul "Triple H" Levesque, confirmed the return of his old rival and current ally. "Strap in. When The Final Boss shows up at this time of year, the audience knows absolutely anything is possible. Everything could change in an instant," Levesque stated. The future, however, remains uncertain.

The Rock made headlines last season when he thrust himself into the title feud between Rhodes and Reigns. This led to a tag-team match at WrestleMania 40 Night 1, which set the conditions for the Rhodes vs. Reigns match at WrestleMania 40 Night 2.

Although he promised a rematch with Rhodes, the "RAW" title contenders are already decided, and the Elimination Chamber competitors are ready to determine who will challenge Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. This leaves fans questioning what role The Rock might play if he were to aim for a title shot.
